Please use Word or Google Docs files with Times Roman type set at 12 pt.

Typically, poetry books are 6 x 9. Keep in mind that margins will eliminate 1.5” from the width, allowing approximately 4.5” for longest lines. Final type choices and pt. sizes will be recommended to the author after determining how best to maintain author’s choice of line breaks.

If images are required for the interior, they must be the highest resolution possible; 300 dpi at the size they need to appear.

I will consult with the author about possible cover design based on the theme and title of the poetry collection.If the author has a preference for his/her own image for the cover, either a high-res digital file or original photograph for scanning must be submitted. Images less than high resolution will degrade the book and will not be used.

If there are lots of non-traditional line breaks, those will be maintained without alteration, unless the lines are too long at which point the designer will consult with the author about new line breaks.

I will consult directly with the author after receiving the manuscript.
